Beau Atkinson had his sights set on playing at the highest level of college football when he entered the transfer portal, so he couldn’t turn down the opportunity to play for the defending national champions.
The former North Carolina defensive end was courted by many of the nation’s top programs when he entered the transfer portal, including Georgia and South Carolina, the runners-up in Atkinson’s re-recruitment. In the end, though, Atkinson felt playing for Ohio State and legendary defensive line coach Larry Johnson was the best option.
