Life is pretty good when you're allowed to play for national championships without winning your division. From the 2007 season when Nick Saban arrived in Tuscaloosa through the 2017 season, Alabama had more national championships in years when it didn't even win the SEC West (two) than any other school won period in those same 11 seasons (one, or zero).
