Ohio State was originally supposed to host only two 7-on-7 tournaments this summer. But the demand from high schools was higher than usual, so the Buckeyes added a third tournament to their slate. The extra camp took place on Monday, with a lighter schedule than usual, as only 16 teams competed in the tournament compared to the usual 32.
Nonetheless, while it was a sparse crowd at the Woody Hayes Athletic Center, one prospect in particular stood out: 2028 Florida signal-caller Wonderful “Champ” Monds. Monds had already earned an offer from OSU, but wanted an opportunity to be coached by quarterbacks coach Billy Fessler and Ryan Day.
