Report: Starting LB Dante Booker To Transfer From Ohio State

Linebacker Dante Booker, a redshirt senior who started a majority of games for Ohio State last year, intends to leave the program as a graduate transfer after graduating in the spring, according to Alex Gleitman of Bucknuts.

As a grad transfer, Booker will have one year of eligibility remaining and will be able to play immediately.

Starting outside linebackers Jerome Baker and Chris Worley both left for the NFL, so Booker leaving means that Ohio State will have to replace all three starters from last season.

Booker started the first six games of the season before missing two due to a concussion, which caused him to be faded out of the starting lineup by Tuf Borland. He missed the entire 2016 season due to a knee injury he suffered in the opener.

Booker racked up 31 total tackles with five tackles for loss and one interception last season.
