Ohio State Safety Vonn Bell To Enter Draft

The ninth Ohio State Buckeye has declared early for the NFL. Safety Vonn Bell announced Tuesday that he'll skip his final year to turn pro.

"I have decided to make myself eligible and enter the 2016 NFL Draft," Bell said in a statement. "It has been an honor and a privilege to play at the best university in the country, to play for the best coach in the country, and to help bring the 2014 national championship to The Ohio State University and the best fans in the country."

Bell was a two-year starter for Ohio State and should be a day two draft pick. He could sneak into the first round.

He was an All-American this season for the Buckeyes. He racked up 65 tackles, nine pass breakups and two picks.

In addition to Bell, the Buckeyes will also replace early entrees WR Jalin Marshall, RB Ezekiel Elliott, QB Cardale Jones, CB Eli Apple, LB Darron Lee, S Tyvis Powell, WR Michael Thomas and DE Joey Bosa.
