Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback-turned-wideout Braxton Miller will have a new uniform number to go with his new position this season, switching from No. 5 to No. 1.
“I just want to make a new beginning, a new era for myself,” Miller told ESPN.com's Austin Ward. “Rocking No. 1, I feel like this is me now. One and only.”
Redshirt freshman Johnnie Dixon had worn No. 1, but was willing to switch with Miller and now wears No. 5.
Miller missed last season after reinjuring his throwing shoulder during training camp and brought up the idea of switching positions with head coach Urban Meyer this offseason.
