Ohio State Football Recruiting: Buckeyes May Oust Pair Of Big Ten Rivals For 4-Star DT

The Ohio State Buckeyes hosted four-star defensive tackle Tyler Friday (Ramsey, NJ) on his official visit this weekend, and it made quite the impression on him.

“I have no complaints,” Friday said, via 247sports. “It was a great official visit. The game was amazing despite the weather. I had a great time.”

Ohio State is in Friday's top five along with Miami, Michigan, Penn State, and UCLA, and he said the visit put the Buckeyes right at the top of his list.

“This was my first official visit so I don’t really have anything to compare it with, but they set the standard high," Friday said. “Their preparation impressed me the most. Watching them go through everything and how they get ready to play, it makes sense why they are so good.”

Friday still has four official visits he can use and plans to use them all before National Signing Day.

The 6-foot-3, 263-pounder is ranked as the No. 3 defensive tackle and No. 71 overall prospect in the country, according to 247sports' Composite Rankings.
