Ohio State Football Recruiting: Buckeyes Looking To Flip 4-Star Clemson WR Commit

The Ohio State Buckeyes' brand has never been more attractive to recruiting after the program's run to the first-ever College Football Playoff championship last postseason. They're even drawing the eye of other program's committed recruits, including 2016 4-star Clemson Tigers WR commit Cornell Powell.

Powell is slated to take one of his official visits to Columbus on October 17th. He's been building up a connection with Ohio State Director of Player Personnel Mark Pantoni -- a potential 'in' when it comes to flipping the dynamic wideout.

"He's a young guy so we connect," Powell said, via 247Sports. "He said I have a full committable offer from them. I want to see how a National Championship team works."

Ranked as the Class of 2016's #40 overall receiver per 247Sports, Powell is still saying all the right things about his current Clemson commitment.

"I know I'm committed and that's set in stone," he said. "I'm definitely still solid with Clemson. I've not yet had the experience to visit elsewhere and I want to experience that and have fun since you only get to once."

Powell doesn't intend to enroll early, giving contenders such as Ohio State, Oklahoma and Georgia ample time for which to work on a potential flip.
