The #13 Ohio State Buckeyes are 4-1 overall. Their opponent at Ohio Stadium, the unranked Rutgers Scarlet Knights, are 5-1.

All of this adds up to the Buckeyes sitting as 19.5-point favorites (per VegasInsider.com) over the Scarlet Knights heading into Saturday's contest. Why, you ask? Keith Sargeant of NJ.com has the answer:

Ohio State, ranked No. 13 nationally inboth major polls, has outscored foes by an average of 38.7 points in winning three straight since dropping a 35-21 decision to Virginia Tech in Week 2. Four of Rutgers' five games against FBS competition have been decided by a touchdown or less, with the Scarlet Knights coming out on the winning end in three of those tilts.

Ohio State and Rutgers have played one common opponent in the Navy Midshipmen. The Buckeyes doubled up on Navy, 34-17, in Baltimore to open 2014. Rutgers? They squeaked by the Midshipmen, 31-24, but did hand Navy their first loss in Annapolis in almost three years.

Regardless, Rutgers faces their biggest test of the year on Sunday as pronounced underdogs according to Vegas and the majority of the nation.
