Buckeyes Football News: Championship Focus Remains After Braxton Miller Injury

In this Buckeyes football news and rumors update, the Ohio State Buckeyes aren't counting themselves out of the Big Ten title chase after starting quarterback Braxton Miller's season-ending injury to his right shoulder.

Several media outlets are now handing the Big Ten's East Division to the Michigan State Spartans in their preseason predictions. Senior linebacker Curtis Grant doesn't care about all of that.

"Oh yes we can," Grant said Wednesday when asked if the team could still win the Big Ten, per Doug Lesmerises of the Northeast Ohio Media Group. "If we stick together and do what we're supposed to do, we shouldn't have any problems."

What about the people who have turned their backs on the Buckeyes as preseason favorites?

"That's cool on their part," Grant said. "We can show you better than we can tell you."

Senior tight end Jeff Heuerman was equally as direct when he was asked if expectations had been altered in regards to a conference title.

"They haven't changed, honestly," Heuerman stated.

"We just have to compete for championships."
