3 Reasons Why Ohio State Is GUARANTEED To Beat Maryland

The Ohio State Buckeyes are 5-0 and host the 2-3 Maryland Terrapins this weekend. Maryland has been blow nout by Michigan, West Virginia and Bowling Green this season and could suffer another one this weekend. Here are three reasons why the Buckeyes are guaranteed to beat Maryland this weekend.

Ezekiel Elliott

The Buckeyes are trying to limit Elliott's carries, which makes perfect sense given that they are trying to save him for the postseason. Even on 25 carries per game, Elliott has averaged an absurd 7.3 yards per carry and 8 TDs this season. He's the workhorse of the offense and with him in the backfield, the Buckeyes will record yet another win.

OSU Defense vs. Caleb Rowe

Ohio State's defensive dominance has been well documented, save for a bit of a slip up against Indiana. That poor defensive performance shouldn't happen again in the Maryland game, as Maryland has major issues on offense. Quarterback Caleb Rowe is the starter, but he has been plagued by turnovers this season. He's thrown four touchdowns against a whopping 12 interceptions and he's in for another rough game against the Buckeyes.

Talent

Let's just be real here - Ohio State is vastly more talented than Maryland. I mean, how many players on Maryland's team would start for Ohio State? Two or three? Maybe four if you include the kicker? Meanwhile, several Ohio State backups would be starters for the Terrapins. The Buckeyes are simply way better than Maryland across the depth chart. With so much talent, not to mention better coaching, there is no doubt Ohio State will defeat Maryland with ease.
