Even though the season didn't finish with the results the coaches were hoping for, the Ohio women's cross country team had a season in which it outperformed many expectations.
Recently, at the All-Ohio Cross Country Awards, the Bobcats were awarded two prestigious awards, including junior Ellen Isaac earning Women's Runner of the Year and head coach Clay Calkins earning Women's Coach of the Year.
Isaac, who finished 14th at the Great Lakes Regional Championship, never finished worse than 14th the entire year and was in the top 10 of every race besides NCAA Regionals. Isaac also earned second-team All Mid-American Conference honors at the MAC Championship, finishing eighth out of 102 runners.
