Greg Windham’s final season of college football will end as it began — with him as a starting quarterback.
Ohio University head coach Frank Solich confirmed this week that Windham, a fifth-year senior, will be the Bobcats’ starting QB when the Bobcats face Troy in the Dollar General Bowl on Friday, Dec. 23.
Windham relieved an effective Quinton Maxwell at quarterback for Ohio in the 2016 Mid-American Conference Championship game on Dec. 2. Maxwell, a redshirt freshman, made his sixth straight start in the MAC title tilt.
“Yes, Greg will be (number) one,” Solich said. “At this point in time, they’re both prepared to play.
