Solich: Team played well but just fell short

Despite five turnovers from Ohio quarterback Greg Windham in their loss Friday evening in the 2016 Dollar General Bowl, the Bobcats executed their game plans to a great extent against the Troy Trojans. Ohio lost 28-23 in a tough defensive game.

Going into Mobile, Alabama’s Dollar General Bowl, the Ohio Bobcats were ranked sixth in the nation in allowed rushing yards per game (105.8 yards), while the Troy Trojans were ranked 19th in allowed rushing yards per game (123.7 yards). The key for each team in this game was to drive the ball down the field and score against a tough defense at a consistent rate.
