Frank Solich said Monday, however, he’s not discouraged about his Bobcats despite a 56-54 triple overtime loss on Saturday to Texas State in the season opener.
Ohio (0-1) had plenty of issues in the opener. After a strong start, the defense couldn’t get itself off the field or keep Texas State from the end zone. The offense worked the other way; the Bobcats settled for field goal tries in the first half, but then racked up yardage and points galore in the second.
And throughout, Ohio had penalties. All told, the Bobcats were flagged 13 times for 141 yards.
