Ohio's 1-1 start marked by misses on defense, and in run game

Frank Solich admitted freely this summer that it would take time for Ohio’s defense to find its footing.

“We have got to stop the pass from being so effective,” Ohio head coach Frank Solich said bluntly, during his weekly press conference on Monday at Peden Stadium.

Ohio (1-1) will need to be better defensively if it hopes to hang in for the long haul against Cincinnati (3-0) on Saturday in Nippert Stadium. The Bearcats have displayed one of the best defenses in the country en route to a 3-0 start that includes a road win at UCLA.
