YPSILANTI, Mich. — The Bobcats have been winning with defense so far in Mid-American Conference play.
Powered by a key four-minute stretch of shut-down defense in the fourth quarter, the Bobcats took out MAC West leading Eastern Michigan, 71-64, inside the Convocation Center.
Ohio (12-3, 4-0 MAC), which leads the MAC East, ran its current winning streak to seven games with the victory. The Bobcats also picked up their 10th straight conference win, dating back to last season.
The game was a rematch of the 2015 MAC Tournament championship game and pitted the 2016 favorites from both sides of the conference.
