For the second straight game, the Ohio Bobcat men gave up 50 points in the second half to their opponent. And for the second straight game, the Bobcats lost a winnable game as a result.
On Saturday in Kent, the Bobcats (10-6, 1-3 Mid-American Conference) surrendered 51 second-half points to the Golden Flashes after leading for much of the first half and only trailing by one after 20 minutes. Kent State established a lead that Ohio wouldn’t overcome by getting out to a 14-point lead with less than seven minutes left to play in the second half.
A late run, however, brought the Bobcats back into the game.
