Some halftime adjustments were just what the Ohio Bobcat men needed to get over the “hump” of the Campbell Fighting Camels on Monday night. After trailing 41-35 at the midway mark, Ohio tightened up and won 81-73 at the Convocation Center.
Senior forward Doug Taylor helped close the game for the Bobcats with a contested dunk with 1:42 left in the game to put Ohio ahead 71-60. Taylor blocked a layup 30 seconds later, and Ohio redshirt sophomore forward Jason Carter got fouled on the rebound and went to the line and made both free throws.
Drawing fouls was not Ohio’s strongest asset in the first half.
