The regular season is over for the Ohio men and women’s basketball teams. Now it’s time for the Mid-American Conference tournament.
Women’s Basketball
The Ohio women (25-4, 14-4 MAC) clinched the MAC East Division title with a win over Bowling Green Saturday in Athens. The win also cemented them as the No. 2 seed in the MAC Tournament, giving the Bobcats an automatic bye to the tournament’s quarterfinals.
The Bobcats will be off until Wednesday when they play the winner of No. 7-seeded Northern Illinois and No. 10 Western Michigan. Ohio met and defeated both teams by a combined 30 points in the regular season.
