New-look front four on tap for the Ohio defense

If you haven’t been keeping track, the Ohio Bobcats begin fall camp on Aug. 5, or in about six weeks.

That means it’s past time to dial in on the Ohio defense, which will have a drastically different look in the front seven this season. This summer-long series has been breaking down the Bobcats’ roster, position group by position group, and has finally found its way to the defensive line.

Unlike the two previous seasons, Ohio will not be able to line up four senior across the line of scrimmage. The Bobcats’ depth in the front four has been a real strength over the past two years; Ohio set a program record for sacks in 2016 and has posted back-to-back seasons where it ranked among the nation’s best in rushing defense.
