NBA looking into Miami Heat center Meyers Leonard's use of anti-Semitic slur during video game stream

Miami Heat center Meyers Leonard apologized Tuesday evening for his use of an anti-Semitic slur during a recent video game livestream, noting that the mistake is "not a proper representation of who I am," while promising to do better.

In a video that surfaced earlier Tuesday on social media, Leonard can be heard saying: "F---ing cowards; don't f---ing snipe me, you f---ing k--- b----."

"I am deeply sorry for using an anti-Semitic slur during a livestream yesterday," Leonard wrote in a statement posted to Instagram. "While I didn't know what the word meant at the time, my ignorance about its history and how offensive it is to the Jewish community is absolutely not an excuse and I was just wrong.
