Breaking down the Bobcats: Too many holes offensively

A senior starting at quarterback for the first time in his career, Windham nearly delivered Ohio that elusive Mid-American Conference championship title and a bowl victory in the same season.

But, at the end, the same issues that haunted Windham throughout his playing career popped up at the end.

And it was largely due to an offense that couldn’t take a step up.

There were lots of reasons Ohio failed to dramatically improve its offensive production from 2016 to 2017 — the Bobcats averaged 26.3 ppg in 2017, 27.5 in 2015 — but the biggest was average play at the quarterback position.
