Bobcats suffer Music City blues

NASHVILLE — Hoping to put their best foot forward, the Bobcats instead took two steps back.

Out of sorts and seemingly unprepared, Ohio was overwhelmed early and often in a 45-31 loss to Virginia on Saturday afternoon inside Vanderbilt Stadium

The game was moved to Nashville, from Charlottesville, Va., earlier in the week due to concerns in the Mid-Atlantic Region stemming from Hurricane Florence. For a while, it looked like the Bobcats didn’t get the memo.

Virginia (2-1) scored touchdowns on three of its first six plays from scrimmage, led 14-0 just 129 seconds into the game, and pounded the Ohio defense for 38 points and 354 yards in the first half alone.
