Bobcats put it all together, dismantle Iona 89-65

Instead of worrying about what they’re not, the Bobcats leaned into what they are.

As a result, Ohio bowled over Iona — 89-65 — inside the Convo on Tuesday night in its best performance of the season.

The Bobcats (4-2) staked their claim to the paint, and locked down the Gaels (2-4), and used balance and ball-movement to easy any concerns about a lack of productivity from 3-point range.

“The focus we had in terms of playing our strengths offensively tonight really showed,” said Ohio head coach Saul Phillips. “They just have to be stubborn for their identity and then knock down the open ones when they get comfortable.
