Bobcat wrap: Offense made moderate strides in 2015

The Bobcats vowed to be better on offense in 2015, and they were.

But Ohio wasn’t improved enough to climb to the top of the Mid-American Conference this season.

In looking at the year that was, it’s clear the Bobcats (8-5, 5-3 and 2nd in MAC East) made strides offensively. Some measure of growth was expected. Ohio returned nine offensive starters, and the vast majority of its skilled position players.

So, how much better were the Bobcats in 2015? Nearly a touchdown better, in fact. By the most basic of measures, Ohio scored seven more points per game this season compared to 2014.
