A lights-out Ohio shooting performance at the Convocation Center Monday night gave way to the Bobcat men’s 96-75 takedown of the Sam Houston State Bearkats, as Ohio improved to 2-0 to start its season.
Ohio’s starting lineup of Jaaron Simmons, Jordan Dartis, Gavin Block, Kenny Kaminski and Tony Campbell couldn’t miss from three-point range to open the first half as the ’Cats’ first five made shots were all three-pointers. The Bobcats led 45-30 at halftime and then scored 20 points in the first five minutes of the second half to effectively put Sam Houston out of reach of a comeback.
