To hear Ohio University women’s basketball coach Bob Boldon tell it, his team’s prowess in blocking shots isn’t a strength or a skill or an attribute.
It’s a compromise.
“You have ideals and principles you want to instill in your team. Like, I would prefer all those (blocked shots) to be charges and (the players) wouldn’t,” offered Boldon. “We’ve kind of hit a cross-road. It turns out that we have a couple kids who are pretty good at blocking shots.
“I don’t know that I love it yet but I’m trying to warm up to the idea that we have some kids who can do different things, and we can play different ways.
