Early in Saturday’s game between the Ohio Bobcat women and Central Michigan Chippewas, the score was tied for all of 11 seconds before Central Michigan took the lead. For the rest of the first half, and into the third, the Chippewas built on their lead and led for over 40 minutes of a possible 45. Ohio, in fact, didn’t take its first lead until 3:41 in overtime.
The Bobcats, though, never relinquished their overtime lead once they took it and behind a career-high 39 points from senior Kiyanna Black, the ’Cats beat the Chippewas 86-84.
“Kiyanna is unbelievable,” declared Boldon “She single-handedly won the game for us.
