The Convocation Center in Athens will host a men and women’s basketball doubleheader this Saturday to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Convo’s opening. The women will start the day hosting Ball State with a 1 p.m. tip-off, and the men’s squad will follow against Akron with tip scheduled for 3:30.
While marking the celebration for the roundhouse, the day also will begin February’s slate of Mid-American Conference games. With one month of the conference year completed, each Ohio team finds itself on opposite sides of the MAC East Division standings.
Men’s Basketball
Ohio (11-9, 3-5 MAC) traveled to Northern Illinois on Tuesday and fell 71-60.
