What Jon Gruden and Raiders players said about releasing Antonio Brown

ALAMEDA — The Raiders began to wrap their brain around the Antonio Brown experience and were unified by the purpose of moving on without him.

The Raiders released Brown at his request Saturday, one day after he apologized in front of the entire team for an on-field shouting match with Mike Mayock during the week.

With that as a backrop, the Raiders open the regular season Monday night against the Denver Broncos at the Coliseum following 44 days of controversy since Brown arrived in a hot air balloon in Napa on July 26.

“We feel how everybody else feels,” wide receiver Tyrell Williams said.
