Sporting News ranks Jon Gruden the 16th-best coach in NFL

The last time Jon Gruden was the head coach of the Oakland Raiders, the team was losing to the New England Patriots in the “Tuck Rule Game.” That game took place back in 2002, and 16 years later, he we are again, with Gruden stalking the sidelines for the Silver and Black.

In his first offseason since leaving the game back in 2008, Gruden has done a nice job building the roster in his own image. The team did not have a ton of cap space to work with this offseason, but he and general manager Reggie McKenzie were able to fill a bunch of holes on this roster heading into OTAs.
