ALAMEDA — Besides fielding questions for the Raiders mailbag, I also had a few questions of my own, asking whether fans felt any better about quarterback Derek Carr, top draft pick Clelin Ferrell and defensive coordinator Paul Guenther in light of the club’s recent surge. All three have had some pointed criticism in this forum in recent weeks. I also asked what has been the most pleasant surprise in the 5-4 start.
