Raiders cut QB Landry Jones

Yesterday the Raiders signed TE Erik Swoope, and today they made room for him on the roster by cutting one of their four quarterbacks, Landry Jones.

Jones was signed on March 26 as a free agent out of Jacksonville and lasted nearly two months with the team. He was drafted in the fourth round by Pittsburgh in 2013 after being a four-year starter at Oklahoma. He is the third all-time leading passer by yardage in FBS history with 16.646 yards as a Sooner.

With a name like Landry Jones, perhaps he’ll land with the Cowboys.
