During the Jon Gruden introductory press conference, Reggie McKenzie was asked which coach or coaches were interviewed by the team to satisfy the Rooney Rule. Prior to that, we knew the team had interviewed their own tight ends coach Bobby Johnson, but the other interview was an undisclosed college coach. McKenzie revealed that to be USC Offensive Coordinator Tee Martin.
Wednesday, the day after that press conference, Martin returned to Oakland to interview again, this time to be on Jon Gruden’s coaching staff, according to Inside So Cal.
That position would presumably be for that of wide receivers coach, a position Martin has held in the college ranks the past 8 years, first at Kentucky (2010-11) and then at USC from 2012 to now.
