It’s the day of reckoning. Technically, the roster cuts are not officially due until Saturday at 1pm Pacific (4pm ET), but those actual cuts will be happening today and that means the reports will be coming in as players are notified their services are no longer needed.
In total, there will be 37 players to get their walking papers from the Raiders as they cut down from their 90-man offseason roster to their 53-man regular season roster. That’s 1184 players across the league will hit the streets.
Veterans have their contracts terminated and therefore become free agents immediately.
