Darren Waller moves closer to Raiders history against Jaguars

In a Raiders season filled with reminiscence, it’s fashionable to compare the emerging Darren Waller to some of the team’s great tight ends of yesteryear. But Waller’s ascension to the likes of Casper and Christensen is still a few big steps away.

For now, he’ll have to settle for moving past Brandon Myers.

In the Raiders’ last home game in Oakland on Sunday, Waller moved ever closer to franchise history. By catching seven passes for 112 yards against the Jaguars, Waller is nine yards from becoming just the second tight end in Raiders history to get 1,000 receiving yards in a season.
