Raiders Rumors: Charles Woodson Wants Ndamukong Suh In Silver And Black

Oakland Raiders defensive end Justin Tuck made some waves on radio row at Super Bowl XLIX when he proclaimed that upcoming Detroit Lions free agent defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh fits the "mean, nasty" Raider mold.

Future Hall of Famer Charles Woodson didn't get into all that when taling to ESPN's Michael Rothstein recently, but he'd love to go to battle with Suh regardless.

“I don’t think there’s a team in the NFL that wouldn’t want to see Ndamukong Suh on their team,” Woodson said, via Scott Bair of CSN Bay Area. “I know I would be no different. That guy is one of the best, overall, period in the NFL.

"Would I like him on our team? Believe it.”

For Woodson, signing Suh would be the catalyst for the whole defense to reach its stated goals for improvement in 2015.

“The better your front is, the better it makes your job as a defensive back and the ability to know that the ball is coming out soon," Woodson said. "That’s a guy that gets pressure up the middle of the field, gets quarterbacks off the spot, which we like, because that means balls have to come out."
