OAKLAND – With the A’s packing up Wednesday and leaving town for the start of a road trip through New York and Cleveland, it was logical that Sean Doolittle did the same.
But there are no bright lights of Broadway in his immediate future. Doolittle, who has been on the disabled list since April 30 with a strained left shoulder, got the word he’s headed to the A’s extended spring training camp in Mesa, Ariz.
He’ll throw a live batting practice Saturday, the next step to getting him into a game, which could come sometime next week.
