OAKLAND — Mark Canha’s walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth inning made for a happy ending in the A’s final home game of the season.

Facing Mariners right-hander Shae Simmons, Canha delivered just his fifth homer but second walk-off shot of the season by depositing the ball over left-field fence for a 6-5 Oakland victory on Wednesday afternoon.

It was the A’s eighth walk-off homer of the season.

Nearly six months after pitching the A’s to victory on Opening Day, Kendall Graveman was good enough to get another one.

Graveman, hoping to win back-to-back starts for the first time since his first two outings back in April, left after six innings with a 5-3 lead but did not get the decision.
