Vida Blue rips Major League Baseball, players for not reaching a deal

As a man who once defiantly ditched his baseball career to work for a toilet company, Vida Blue understands the contentious nature of contract negotiations better than most.

But not even Blue can sympathize with Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association as they haggle over money as a sports-starved nation grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic and a racial injustice movement.

“I’m embarrassed by what they’re doing. Either play or don’t play,” the 70-year-old former A’s and Giants star sai. . .
