ANAHEIM — There’s another Thompson coming to Oakland that will be looking to make a splash of his own.
Trayce Thompson, brother of Golden State Warriors star Klay Thompson, was officially added to the A’s 25-man roster Saturday afternoon in advance of their game later that night against the Los Angeles Angels.
Originally drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the second round of the 2009 draft, Thompson was traded to the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2015 and got to live out a childhood dream by playing for the team he grew up rooting for as a kid in Southern California.
