Hitters to build around
The presumptive leadoff hitter against right-handed pitching isn't having a great season, but recent trends always matter more and Joyce has homered in three of five games, knocking in seven runs. He faces Seattle right-hander Christian Bergman, a 29-year-old fill-in who doesn't miss many bats.
