OAKLAND — It would be an understatement to say the A’s have struggled to finish games off against the Houston Astros this season.
Before this series at the Coliseum began, the A’s had gone 2-5 vs. the Astros in 2019 in games decided by two runs or less. Overall, Oakland had just two wins in 11 games against the two-time defending American League West champions..
Times have changed, as the A’s picked up their second straight one-run victory over Houston, this one courtesy of Robbie Grossman’s walkoff RBI single in the 13th inning to score Corban Joseph from second base and give his team a 3-2 win.
