–The A’s may have flunked out of Laney College, but we’re still giving them a very high grade on their winter meetings final at Disney World.
–Stephen Piscotty is a very good outfielder and hitter, one the Giants strangely didn’t seem interested in. Maybe they didn’t want two guys from rival Pleasanton high schools (Brandon Crawford went to Foothill, Piscotty attended Amador Valley a couple of miles away) sticking out their tongues at each other in the clubhouse.
–Worst aspect of the Piscotty deal is that the A’s surrendered prospect Max Schrock.
