Slumping Khris Davis is revived in Arlington in Athletics win

ARLINGTON — Globe Life Park has just eight games left in its tank. Appropriately, one of the park’s final flashing imprints will be left by an Oakland Athletic who somewhat jokingly calls this place home.

Friday night, Khris Davis hit two home runs — the first, off the bat at 105 mph for a solo homer. The second into the opposite field for a go-ahead three-run shot — for his first multi-homer game since May 13 against the Seattle Mariners. It punctuated a loud 14-9 win over the Rangers.

“I knew it was going to happen when we landed last night,” Ramón Laureano said.
