Shoulder strain forces Graveman to DL

OAKLAND -- The A's on Monday placed right-hander Kendall Graveman on the 10-day disabled list, retroactive to Saturday, with a strained right shoulder. To take his spot on the roster, the A's recalled catcher Bruce Maxwell from Triple-A Nashville.

Graveman is 2-0 with a 2.00 ERA through three starts. He won each of his first two starts but left his last outing, on Friday, after just five innings and 74 pitches. This is his second career stint on the DL, as he missed the final month of the 2015 season with an oblique injury.
