ARLINGTON, Texas – Marcus Semien could find himself leading off quite a bit in the near future for the A’s.
After getting two walks, an RBI single and two steals in his first try as the leadoff may Saturday night, the shortstop was back in the lineup at the top Sunday in the series finale against the Rangers with Texas starting lefty Martin Perez.
Rajai Davis, who has done the bulk of the leadoff work in the first week-plus of the season, was ninth Saturday, but after a couple of doubles and a sacrifice fly he was near the top, batting second.
