Sean Manaea gets no run support in loss to Dodgers

LOS ANGELES — The A’s went to a different Southern California city only to encounter more of the same problems.

After losing two out of three games to the Angels over the weekend, narrowly avoiding a perfect game from Shohei Ohtani in the finale, A’s bats went cold again in Tuesday 4-0 loss to the Dodgers. It was their fifth loss in the past seven games.

Hyun-Jin Ryu held the A’s (4-8) hitless through the first four innings. Although Stephen Piscotty broke up the no-hitter with a two-out single to center in the fifth, the struggle on offense continued immediately as the A’s totaled just five hits.
