MINNEAPOLIS - Going on past history, Sean Doolittle’s latest shoulder injury is likely to sideline the left-hander - one of the A’s increasingly few holdovers from the 2012-2014 playoff teams -for at least two months.
Doolittle, who missed more than two months with a similar issue last year and 121 games the previous year, flew back to the Bay Area to confer with team doctors.
“I don’t know if this is going to be a quick thing,” manager Bob Melvin said. “In the past we’ve been fairly conservative with him because he is such an integral piece for us.
